Could do with some help and advice on shorty choice for my almost finished BMAX-2 MR, I've been trying to get some shorty's for it and a few I've tried (LRP and a cheaper voltz shorty) don't fit (without some serious grinding).
Would really appreciate a few options of ones that fit without modification.
I'm not looking for top end spec either, something around the 45-60 GBP mark.
Thanks in advance !

Are you talking straight up and down or across? I have tried both and had no issues with shortys fitting.

Orion and Reedy fit fine.

The Vampire Racing shorty is a tight fit, but it fits without grinding.

I also needed to grind a little bit of material away when using a Gens Ace shorty. I'm going to try other shorties soon.

Thanks for the replies & info guys, that helps a lot. I'm using them across the chassis, and It might be worth saying that I'm running the std plastic chassis (not sure if there is a difference compared to the alloy chassis battery tray). What dimension should fit across the car, would a 95mm shorty fit ? The Orions seem to be 95mm, and the LRP is 97mm (was told that is toooo big). Thanks again for the replies !

I've had a Turnigy Nano-tech across the width with no problems! (Plastic chassis also).

Hi
I run Turnigy shorties length-ways (front to back) in rear motor with a big block of foam as a spacer in front of it. Never tried it side-ways though.

Thanks for the feedback guys. Looking at the sizes of the thunderpowers, it would mean that the HPI plazma shorty's should fit too. Does anyone know when they are available ?
