View Full Version : Trinity Kinwald Dirtinator Motor
Whilst sorting out my old race gear I found the above motor. The motor seems in good condition and has probably only had one skim in its life. Can anyone tell me when these were produced? The motor can looks like a Trinity D2 and the box stats it is a 13X3. The armature looks as if it is handwound.I may try this at Stotfold on Sunday, just to find out how competative it is!

I tried a motor around that age a while ago and the new cells and speedos destroyed it in one run. I think you may find it could have trouble coping with the power, although it may be better in a 2wd.
I bought one (Dirtinator 10x3!, white label) straight from the Team Trinity at the 1/12 Worlds in 1994.
I also found the other day as well a Pink Tamiya Acto 2wd motor, I think it is a 14x2 and I believe they were introduced with the Tamiya Dyna storm in 1992.Between the years 1988 to 1991, my main motors were Reedy red dot 17x2, reedy gold star (i think) 14x2, LRP Blue 14x2,LRP pink in 1990 and in 1991 I was sponsored by B&R motors. Which all of the squad from the Toddington model car club used in the Chiltern Challenge!

Sorry, I misread your first post. If your motor is a D2, it's more a 96-97 thing.
