I just booked in for the event after extending our UK family holiday by 5 days, we were originally flying back on the 25th which would have hurt!

Mrs. R is not amused...

Does Mrs R realise there is a big Clothing and homewares shop right next to the track? :D

Might cost you even more in the end Dan :-)

I don't think anything would make her and the kids come up for the race, even a Tesco Extra!

They're just 'toy cars' to her......I think I need to take her to a hypnotist.

I've already got an EC (http://www.tamiyaclub.com/showroom_model.asp?cid=119794&sid=297), this is going to be a 2000 as I've got all the parts to replace the badly cut out aluminium shock mounts with upright ones.

For the 94-98 class I might even be tempted to bring out this:

My little Mid is nervous being up against all your Procat's, Top Forces and ZX-R's!

Justin, get building mate - we need to see it out of the boxes! :)

Terry, that Predator must be run, it's a work of art.

Stu, that paintwork is amazing - have to study it every time I see it. See you on the 26th! :)

Some strategically placed pieces of fibreglass stuck to the chassis

Hi all. To clarify:

Attendees will be bringing stuff to sell and that has nothing to do with the charity fundraising.

If anyone wants to come simply to set up a shop for their own profit, this is unacceptable. This is not a profit making event. This is a charity event. I've made this clear elsewhere and now I making it clear on here.

Anyone wishing to bring supplies along for attendees need to speak to A1 or Me. We will be wanting a charitable contribution in return if something can be arranged.

Thanks, John

Glad this day has been organised ..... gave me the motivation to source some much needed, and definitely 'getting harder to find', parts to get the XX4 up and running.

Not as prestigious as the Optima's, Cat's, Tamiya's and Lazer's that will be strutting their stuff but, somebody has to lower the tone! :p

By far my favourite 4WD ever!! Excited about giving it a Brushless Makeover!

Have borrowed a fox & a boomerang winger as well :)

The XX4 is as ready as its going to be.....considering that its a fairly recent chassis, it still took nearly a full day to make the Lipo Straps and the Lipo Compartment Recesses ... all from recycled XXX Parts.

I've still got to tweak the Ball Diffs, Slipper, One Way and Shocks...... Is the track open on the Saturday for 'tweaking'? ..... anyone going down on the Saturday at all if the track is open?

I'm gonna be like a 'kid in an old model shop' seeing all these models next weekend! Can't wait!

Wish I'd still got my old Wild Willy for the Wheelie Comp!!!

Congrats, Dan. How did the Optima do? Did you run it as well, or favored the Cat over it?

Henk, I took 3 cars. My CAT XLS, Turbo Mid Special and RC!0 Worlds.

I quickly realise dI had no time to run the 2wd so it sat on the pit table - then I kept having electrical problems with the Mid so I concentrated on the XLS which went well when I wasn't crashing :)

The Mid went well when the motor and esc decided to give me throttle!

Dan
