Hi folks has anyone ran the new evo kit yet
Was there a big difference I've not had a chance to use it yet

Yes Gary, I've ran with the new Evo kit. Couldn't really tell if there was a difference or not, as I only ran from the house to the man cave with the kit still in the box under my arm.....

Keep us posted Steve, what layout are you using? I fancy setting mine up shorty front to back with motor and speedo opposite by flipping the motor mount.

Then you should flip the servo as well, otherwise it won't be in balance left to right.

This is some info I posted earlier on rctech:
Prior to running the evo kit I had been running a home made conversion of the S104 and this home made conversion had the motor in the back and the esc behind it.

From my experience with the EVO kit 2 weeks ago I can tell:
- the slipper system was very tight in the build(even without shims the bearings from the slipper were really really tight in the alu slipper mounts. This however was freed up after some lipo's totally and is now good

- it handles more or less the same as my own made conversion (Rear weight bias about 53%)

- wear to the center driveline(pins and outdrives) is considerably less on the EVO kit(this alone is a reason for going to the evo!!!)

- if you go down the shorty route, the vented slots in the chassis are in the wrong place; they should make a separate chassis for shorty IMO or just drop the vented slots.

- the Kyosho lazer body is a very good fit on the evo as well ;-)

Ran it last night, once the foams started to bed in and the grip came up it was good. Very easy to drive, went back to standard shock setup with 450 front and 400 rear. That was with saddle layout, could use a stiffer front spring maybe but wasa good first outing

Hi Gary, I was just running the standard kit at NORA on Sunday. It went really well. Finished 4th overall in the Scottish regional. Was very happy with it. It seems to be able to put the power down very well, will be interesting to feel the difference with the new Evo kit.
