I am having issues with the front shocks leaking on my B-MAX 4 II. I just cannot stop them from leaking. I must have rebuilt them half a dozen times now and still they leak :(
The rears are fine.
Anyone have any ideas as to what to look for?

Hi,

Where are they leaking?

At the seals where the shafts are?

Hi,

I assume they are built correct (same as rear shocks.)

You could try fresh o-rings they may be cut or damaged.

If it's the same with fresh o-rings, the inside of the shock body may be machined a little too large.
You can add a small shim inside to compress the o-ring a little more and make a better seal.

Right
Shocks rebuilt again, checked the o rings for damage with a magnifying glass, they seem fine.
2 things I have noticed:-
1.. There was some flashing to the spacers (carefully removed with a needle file)

2.. When the bottom part of the shock is screwed to the lower shock seal housing, it does not feel like the is any resistance due of the o rings compressing.

Shocks are filled with oil so will keep an eye on them

If you got the V2 shocks (with the two-piece lower cartridge, like those on the B-Max2), I highly recommend getting the new bottom shock caps B2-s4o. After installing them on my two-year old shocks, they were as smooth as my Kyosho RT-6 shocks. That plastic guidance for the shock shaft helps a lot!
