Hello folks,
First post here so please excuse / inform me of any glaring mistakes.
We at Carlisle Radio Model Car Club, although primarily an on-road club (based at Down-a-gate Raceway) have been offered a grass pitch to do a show round at Wigton Motor Club's annual event at Dalemain, Penrith. We have a few members who run off-road aswell but we need to confirm a dozen or so heads to go ahead and run the meeting. (It's no fun for the visitors or the organisers to watch four buggies go round for five minutes every hour!)
Im aware that there is a Regional Off-Road round on the same weekend so we are just looking to pick up anyone who dosn't fancy the regional for any reason. Our event isn't part of a series; it purely a one-off for the show.
Assuming we can get some numbers, we'd most likely run 2WD, 4WD and an Oddballs/RWYB class. Three rounds of heats plus a round of finals. The show runs from 10.00am until 4.00pm and we'd likely have a break for lunch and to let folks have a look round. Its a big show with a lot of classic, vintage, performance & motorsport vehicles on show.
