Hi all.

Please use this thread to book in for racing on Friday.

Unfortunately we need to put a cap of 30 drivers in place to make sure we have enough time for 4 rounds and a final.

We should be able to have the heats sorted and we will want to start racing at bang on 7. So track building is the priority.

We need more volunteers to collectively help build / dismantle the track, this also applies at the end of the evening putting away the track. So please help, we get more racing in and get to go home at a reasonable time. Don't leave it to the same individuals to do the honours.

Please refrain from practicing until the track has been built.

The deadline for booking in is 9pm Thursday evening, heat listings will be compiled after this time. If you say you are coming then change your mind for what ever reason, you must let me know as this affects everyone else & the heats will not be evenly balanced,

Doors normally open at 6.30pm.

I'll be there for 6:15 ish, so anyone wanting to HELP with the track can get there for then.

1/10th Buggies, indoors, carpet, slippy floor and jumps. Family friendly and good fun club level racing.

Address:
Cullingworth Village Hall
Station Road
Cullingworth
Bradford
BD13 5HN.

Another enjoyable evening

Apologies for legging it straight away- Charlotte's just left to go to work for her 12 hr shift to relieve another member of the medical staff at Airedale Hospital so she can get home before the roads are closed for the Tour de France. We were already going to disturb her coming home late and we wanted to minimise it.

Only the usual:

Cross over ramp that didn't.
Bypass that did ;-)
Slippery floor
Pizza delicious
Few toys out of a few prams
Jack blamed Peter
Peter blamed Jack
I hit everybody else in the race while pretending I didn't.
Jack realised Peter wasn't actually in his race
Peter blamed Jack
Nori had to dance quite jig to avoid being mown down by track cutting cars
Peter realised Jack wasn't in his race
Paul blamed Peter
I discovered I still haven't found world beating talent I seem to remember I had when I didn't have hair growing out of my ears
Paul realised Peter wasn't in his race.
Peter remembered in his final he had brakes and they work to slow you down for corners
I drove into Paul, but we both blamed Peter
Somebody shouted at a marshal for not putting the car they somersaulted across the county of Yorkshire in the first place, back down, in the right place, fast enough, two laps in the lead.
Somebody else shouted at the same marshal for trying to do all the above, but unfortunately getting in their way instead
Everyone shouted at the same marshal who by now was pretty fed up with getting shouted at by dumb-ass drivers who still hadn't yet realised the reason they needed a marshal was because they really needed a 380 class learner buggy and was simply waiting for the traffic to pass to get to the aforementioned dumb-ass

Does that cover it?

:D

(I hope I spot all the crashed cars in front of me next time I marshal :woot: )

I never saw the chaos Brian's describing but it was a good night. Shame I'll miss the next one.
