Gearing SP 8.5 in KF

Is anyone running a Speed Passion V3 8.5T motor in their KF?
If so what spur / pinion combination are you using?

I normally run a 6.5T motor using 76T spur and either 23 or 24T pinion.
I'm wondering if I want to run the 8.5 motor for wet / low grip races, do I need to get an even smaller spur to achieve the right gearing, think there's a 71T spur available.

Ive a 8.5 in mine with stock spur and 24T pinion its not as fast as some down the straights but its quick enough

I use 25-76 no boost with a sp8.5 in my kf

You need a 76t spur and about a 23t pinion.

It will still be a bit slow but not too slow. If you ran a standard spur with a 23t it would be so slow you will just keep getting hit from behind!

In fact I've not really seen many people use a standard spur on a KF.

76 23 or 83 25 I run on a 8.5 no boots but 30 deg of turbo
