I've heard a bit about fitting weights to the front of a rear motor 2wd buggy to improve handling

I've just taped a metal tube to the front of the shell / chassis (crude I know!) to test out the theory and found the front wheels stuck in much more under power and stopped the car flipping as much when cornering hard on grass. IT generally made it much more nimble and less erratic.

So what weights to people fit and where (guessing where the servo is?)
And what actual weight in grams should I be looking at?

with my b4 I stuck a lump of lead above the servo and rapped black tap around the chassis to keep it in place. It was a track side bodge but worked well, when the shell was on you couldn't really see anything so it didn't look to bad.

Ideally the weight should be as far forward as possible. I find the best place is around the hinge pin block. I use about 25g on my b4.2 even more on my c4.2. I am at 35g on that.

I had 30 grams on the servo in my 22 when I used the rear motor layout. You could also use aluminium upgrade parts like the hinge pin mount to help as well

Ok, that's good thanks. I'll get some of those self adhesive wheel balancing weights and experiment (now I know the amount of weight other people use)

The weights came and I've fitted a 10g to the top of the servo, 10g between servo and steering arms then 5g behind the hinge pin block. Gives me 25g in total and it does seem to have helped it become much more nimble.

(Car is a mad rat for reference)
