HOW MUCH!!!! :o
That's just ridiculous. How can they justify to charge that much?

MB are knocking them out roughly the same price as the Exzes. Either way it's a lot of money for a transmitter.
The missus would castrate me for even thinking about it.

You tx is the thing you use the most, multi cars, I've had a Helios for near 10 years and its had one steering pot, because I dropped the tx. Its never missed a beat.
Its costs more than that to but one car and electrics for a season and your tx lasts for how many?

Id like this, but comparing it to my current Type R Vantage price back in the day, why the extra hundred quid or so?
Its not like current tech costs that much more, but in the case of the Esprit III, it suffered in quality and robustness IMO, the tranny is the heart of your driving experience, but lately they really do want to ream you for it, especially us stick boys!

I'll stick with my Gemini and 3GR price ranged transmitters. Does everything I want, high response. EPA, Expo adjustment, throttle set switch (to please the IC folk), trim adjustment, dual rate, multi model memory and timer. What more do you need to justify the extra £200? A big LCD screen, telemetry and a load of functions that you'll never use. It's toy cars not F1.
Granted the transmitter is one of the most if not the most important piece of equipment that you shouldn't skimp on. You can buy a decent one like the Gemini or 3GR and they function just the same as one that costs twice as much.
If you race week in week out, travel all over the country and you can afford it then fair enough buy it.

It'll be a Gemini X for me i reckon when i do go 2.4 again, buddy uses one and thinks its great, feels a nice built unit too, and the sticks feel nice, again all the settings you could want and great quality. If the Esprit IV was on the £300 mark then sure, but yeah, its a cash hungry beast!
