Hi,

A few years back I saw a few RC bikes on a few forums and became interested in them. I'd not done RC stuff before and soon bit off more than I could chew and had spent over £1000 on various gear which I have never used (At all) since. Since finding UK-MicroRC I have decided I'd like to give that a go and realise I might have more chance getting going with that than the RC bike scene.

With that in mind I was wondering what my RC bike stuff might be worth. Depending on its value I may decide to sell, allowing me to get into Micro Cars.

Below is a quote of what I posted over at UK-MicroRC - The photos are poor but I was in a rush to get all the info up quickly. Any more info, photos, anything just let me know and I'll get back as soon as possible.

Anyway, see below:

I've dug out all of the my old RC bike stuff... Taken a quick snap of each item and will include a quick description. I appologise about image quality but I'm in a rush... Work to be doing but really eager to see how much this stuff might be worth and what (If anything) to sell... If you guys could tell me how much you estimate each bit to be worth that'd be great. Better images available upon request. Also hints on what to keep which may be useful in the future (For RC cars) also useful.

Anyway, the stuff I've got:

Radio system:

Sanwa Gemini II 3 Channel 40MHz FM Computer Radio System

New and unused.

Battery:

3x GP-3300-SC NiMH Battery Packs, 1x Unknown Battery Pack (Was custom purchased as an upgrade for use in the Radio System)

New and unused (As you can see I've still not removed them from the bubble wrap they were shipped in).

Bike:

http://img411.imageshack.us/img411/2848/bitswd6.jpg

Nuova Faor SF501 With Front Brake Disk (Was optional extra)

Purchased second hand; Had been built and used once. Has not been used by me at all. Arrived to me when purchased as a built unit. When I was planning on using all of this bike stuff I began to disassemble it however never got round to using anything. Therefore bike is in parts, with sections semi-assembled. Includes 2x Futaba S3003 servos.

Brakes:

http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/792/diskho3.jpg

"Pat's Brakes" - 2F/1R + Extras (All necessary components required to fit)

New and unused. These were made by an Austrlian chap and were very sought after during my time of buying all of these bike bits. Cost me well over £100. Get great reviews and are stunning to simply look at; Sadly I've never seen them on the bike...

Case:

http://img184.imageshack.us/img184/2032/caseao6.jpg

Nuova Faor Official Case - Had to be ordered from America.

New and unused; Designed to carry bike (Not exactly sure *how* as its a soft case I believe [See, I've never even looked at in since purchase!!]).

Charger:

http://img511.imageshack.us/img511/9956/chargertm3.jpg

Ripmax Pro-Peak Varipulse 2500VP AC/DC Variable Delta Peak Fast Charger

New and unused.

Hop-ups:

http://img248.imageshack.us/img248/752/hopupsxi7.jpg

Various hop-ups. Some official Nuova Faor, some CrazyNutRacing. Quite a bit of titanium (Some items costing quite a bit). Includes 2x Piggyback reservoirs... Aparently these were really great when used to modify the existing suspension, removing any "droop" making for a much more positive ride. Include servo Y-connector for use with brakes (Above) and a pack of body pins. Note that a number of bits had to be ordered from America (Including the piggy back reservoirs and CrazyNutRacing hop-ups)

All new and unused.

ESC and Motor:

Novak Super-Sport Sensor-Based Brushless Motor System including Super-Sport 6-Program ESC and SS5800 Brushless Motor

Purchased second hand with the Nuova Faor SF501; Had been used once at the same time as the bike. Has not been used by me at all.

Stand:

Stand - Hardly worthy of a mention but I purchased this work stand. Basically two bits of plastic but none-the-less I bought it...

New and unused (Though does appear to have a minor crack in it; Not sure how when it's been on top of my wardrobe for its entire life, but still...).
That's everything I think.

If anybody could give any info on how much this may be worth or what I should consider selling and what I should consider keeping. I feel I'd be much happier with an RC Car setup than this but having paid in excess of £1000 for the whole lot initially I'm not parting with this lot easily... But I'm interested in hearing numbers, because if it means getting an RC car, it could be better than this gear being sat in my room.

Cheers!
So with the above in mind what do you think the stuff might be worth? And wheres the best place to sell it if I decide to? NOTE: This is not a "For Sale" thread, at this time I merely deciding whether it is worth selling up, considering the value of the various items. I would be willing to sell anything/everything but would be more than happy to keep my TX, and at a push even the ESC/motor, batteries and charger. My main concern is the bike stuff (Bike, hop-ups, brakes, bag, stand, etc) as I believe this to be quite specialist and might be difficult to shift.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Cheers.

PS - If this would be better suited to another sub-forum please feel free to move :)
