Hi,

what are the SCT rules at mendip and what do people generally run? Is it 2 or 4 wheel drive and what is a typical motor and battery setup?

Also has anyone used an ECX or LRP truck, are they any good?

cheers

They don't really have any rules I think you will find if it's a truck you can race it!

Thats pretty much it !!

No real rules ... nearly all in run 2wd in mid motor format, with 8.5 to 10.5 motors ... the Durango DESC210 is by far the most popular so if you have a big accident someone will most likely have spares ... but HPI and Associated trucks have been run .. even Ansmanns !!

I don't know the ECX truck and have seen LRP buggies that don't look too good !!

There's plenty of the Durango truck around 2nd hand .. and cheap ones new .. the ready to run truck is very good if you're new to racing ..

Come along to a meeting and have a chat ...

great, thanks for the replies.

anyone know where I can get hold of an rtr? I prefer a kit but the rtr is cheaper initially.

Have a word with Rob or Alan at South West RC here - http://www.oople.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?f=218

... or maybe put a "wanted ad" on the Mendip section ...
