Open Can Motors

Looking into getting a new 6.5T motor and considering the Reds Racing 6.5T. What are your thoughts/feedback on the open can motors? Would I have to clean it thoroughly after each meet since it is an open can?

Depends what you are driving on.
All my motors are open ish can (varying size holes) and i've never cleaned one......... but we have astro outside and carpet inside. So anything that does get in probably drops straight back out again as its dry.

If you are running on grass or dirt, you might need to blast the motor out with compressed air and run some fresh oil into the bearings on a semi regular basis.
