xxx / zx5 hybrid.
Currently using a botched zx5 shell + undertray.
Looks ugly and might try and make something better if it handles.
Too much weight on the front end a the moment, but need to add approx 160g of lead which ought to help i that respect.
Thinking of going to losi shocks all round too as can't run a low ride height at the front with the losi springs I have.

nice, but yellow spoke wheels? This is a cardinal sin...
yeh looks good. But whats your PT doing right at the front lol? Or does the shell cover it?

Shell doesnt cover the pt at the moment.
Front wing would if installed.
2 reasons for the location
1) it's the first part of the car to cross the line in the finals. And I really need all the competetive advntage I can get with my driving.
2)With 160g of lead added to a chassis that narrow, there is not a lot of space anwhere else!

Well 1st run at West Bridgeford yesterday.
And the conclusion is that that the car requires a little development, not to mention a big improvement from the driver.
Basically the car understeers, but has poor drive out of corners, and kills rear tyres. My minipins might be ok for a 2nd meeting if I'm lucky.
The diff is rubbish and needs a better thrust race to stop it coming undone.
The deans connectors I was using don't give a very good contact if you plug them in all the way, and this was causing the car to cut out occasionally. - Need to change the connectors.
My cheap low profile servo off of ebay, is unsurprisingly, nowhere near as good s my full size ko bought for 10 x the price and did not help steering response.
Superglue doesn't stick to lead very well, so my lead weights kept falling off. - Need to find better method of attachment.
The car would have benefited from softer springs all round to increase weight transfer, but i didn't have any suitable front springs.
Should have used wider rims fo the front tyres too as the
slim rims gave too rounded a profile.
On the plus side the car is very stable, very easy to drive on the wood section of the track and I have a few ideas to get some steering back and increase weight on the rear. - Steering response should be less of an issue anyway on a larger outdoor track.
