View Full Version : Charger choice
Need a new charger, anyone got the x-200 touch screen one branded under hobby king or IMax ?
And is the Orion touch screen duo one any good ? Or can anyone recommend a good one ac/dc.

Orion charger is great, wish I'd got one far earlier than I did!
I bought myself a Sky-RC Racing Star RS16 earlier in the year as a replacement for my aging pro-trak.
It comes with all the lead's you'll ever need and seems to do a really good job at charging up my LIPO's.
They also make a neat power supply which the charger sits on top of for when mains power is available.
At just over £50 I don't have any complaints at all.

LRP Quadra is ace, does charge up to 10amps, does nicad, nimh, lipo and others, also can discharge, motor run in and other stuff plus my favourite USB to charge phone or other stuff. Cheap as well and faultless.

What's your budget?
Well i will go for whatever i feel is right to be honest so saying as the orion touch duo is about 170 then i think thats as far as i would go really.
It does 2 sets together and thats a good bonus and its more compact as apposed to having a seperate psu.
I like the x200 as it has built in balance board but dont know how reliable they are.

It's worth considering the Absima CTC-1 Touch Charger also, at Just over £85 and 10amp charge it's pretty decent. I use this and have done for the last year - it's been perfect

Also, the We have a few of the Team Orion Advantage Touch Pro Chargers at a special price of £79.99. This is a real high end charger although it does need a 12v power supply. The original retail for these is over £200. Worth considering if the power supply doesn't bother you.
