yes I've run the car in both battery configurations. with saddles the car is a lirtle heavier and i hada little more rear traction. With the shorty you get the ability to tune tge position of the battery, and therefore the balance of rear traction and steering.
I run with the shorty now after testing as the car works well.

I have added 20g behind motor and 35 under shorty felt more stable and easier to drive and obv helped on lower grip. Ball diff made the car feel easier to drive as well.

Most people seem to be running 35-50g under the shorty depending on the surface.
I run 36g on very high grip and it just makes the car a little more planted.

I felt the nose a little light on jumping, going to try maybe 20g in the front!
Ive done a bit of a rewire so i can try shorty forward and possibly add weight under the motor?

I run 20g under motor, 15g under bell crank stuck to chassis, and the chassis cutout insert weight under the battery.
