View Full Version : Sky RC Vs Trackstar
I'm looking to get another speedo for a spare car. I've heard good reports on the Sky speedo, but haven't seen much on the Trackstar.
Has anyone used both, or can give any feed back at all
Thanks
Ross

Hi Ross,

Works just like my Orion R10 pro but maybe not as smooth on power delivery, you can also get a programme card to change the settings.
I got it for a second car and it does a job.

I have two Sky rc Toros 120 and 150 amp. Both good escs and I went for them over the hobbyking ones as you can use the Bluetooth dongle to program them.
I run a couple of the Sky ones and think they are great value but the integrated switch can be a bit of a pain

I run the 120 amp trackstar and they're bloody good value for money!!! They also work with the sky rc Bluetooth module, I've had speed passion etc in the past which has let me down but I've been making A finals and getting good results with this esc!!
I running it in a KF with a Hpi pro flux 7.5t for those of you Interested 😄😄

The track star is a hobbywing v2.1 copy (?or speedpassion gt pro 2.0)
The skyrc is a hobbywing v3 copy so the skyrc is the one I go for as it's based on a current top spec esc

ooohhhh Stu, why throw another one in to the equation :woot:
Thanks for all the replies gents. It may well be 2 speedos needed now, so either of the turnigy ones I think due to cost.
Cheers

Skyrc make the trackstar 120a, both the 1s and 2s versions. The main difference is the caps are internal on the skyrc.
The fet boards are identical so the performance is the same.
I've used both the skyrc and trackstar 1s and prefer the trackstar as contrary to the specs it has a stronger booster so no need for power caps. The trackstar 2s sits in my 22 2.0, replacing an lpf-2.
