Am buyin a losi 8, but is only the chassis need some advice.

I will need some servo's can anyone recommend some good budget ones? What model hitec servo's do people use. Do they have to be 6 or 7.2v or does it not matter.

What tyres would people suggest to get? it is comin with some crimefighters, and do all rims fit each car or are they specific to each car.

What fuel is most used and what %?

Which glow plugs are best and are there different types for hot and cold weather?

Do different exhausts give different power curves and which would be a good start.

I will need a glow starter etc i have seen a kit on ebay which includes fuel bottle, charger glowplug tool etc for about £14 is this any good?

Any and all help would be appreciated.

Have to be 6v servos. I have hitecs in my old one at my rents home, not a clue which ones though, i could check next time i go to my rents if you don't get much of a response here.

Thats about the limit of my knowledge. :p

ok lots of general questions to which there are lots of general answers, depends on what you intend to do race or bash?, 1/8 cars are particularly hard on servo's ,the losi 8 is really hard on them if you don't mount them properly:confused: hitec servo's probably use a 645mg around £30-35, i use KO 2343 around the £100, put probably the best price to performance servo would be the ds1015 around £60-65.

glow plugs and fuel depend on the engine, nitro content from 16 to 30 percent again some engines like less nitro some like more.

pretty much all buggy wheeels come with a standard hex and offset so any wheel willl fit any car, same with tyres, although again what surface you run on will dictate what tyres you would want.

depending where you live go to your local model shop and ask their advice

:)I ran a Hitec 985MG on steering and 645MG on throttle and brake in my Losi 8.
Crimefighters are o.k. might want something like some Badlands as well, any 17mm hex wheels should be o.k. as not many buggy wheels run an offset.
Personally I find OS No.8's are a good starting point as an all round plug and you can go up or down a grade depending on temps.
A good all round pipe is the Jammin JP4 if you can afford it if not a Hong Nor 053 is a pretty good cheap pipe.
The starter kit's are o.k. and you can then add or upgrade them as you go along, you'll need some imperial hex drives for the Losi as the dear old yanks haven't discovered metric yet.:)
