Haven't sent off to renew yet (no working printer), am I right in remembering I'm actually covered a little into the new year on my old one?

I am sure they just run from Jan to December.

Cheers for letting me know guys, will try and get onto the interweb at work tomorrow and print off the form!
Hope the turnaround is not too bad, they must be busy this time of year!!

Spencer is right. If you were to attend a 1/12th scale National meeting (usually held the first week in Jan) you would not be allowed to race if you had not renewed your BRCA licence.
You can guess that I have been personally caught by this deadline.

In the past I've always done it through a club, and often didn't get the license back until Feb/March (I think as some people weren't giving the club the forms quickly so they had to wait to send everything off in one go), that's why I always assumed the old license ran on a month or two!

we need an on-line way of doing this, would be soooooooooooo much easier. and we wont have people genuinely forgetting and then not being allowed to race at big events.... (you know who you are :P)
i dont even know where my brca stuff is :S good job im not doing any racing for a bit :)

i think the (dont quote me on this) BRCA are looking at a system to allow online joining and paying. seem to remember it being mentioned at the agm
