Hi all

Just got myself back into racing after a four year absence, gosh I cant believe how much as changed through the years, I have a question about speedo's

is there that much difference between the different esc being 60a, 120a & 150a I will be going back to TC 13.5 class & 17.5 class so would a 60a be okay or would I need to get a 120a?

Thanks for your help

If it was for blinky 17.5 I would say 60 amp esc is ok
But boosted does pull a lot of amps u should also look at the resistance of a esc as the lower it is the more power gets through . I have heard of some ppl that have seen a boosted 13.5 pull 70 amps ( tested on a 120amp esc) so if u only have 60 ur not getting the full power of the motor , that's y muchmore do stockspec 80amp hobbywing do v3 100amp stock spec and there are few others out there that do class spec esc these days
What's you budget as I say buy the best u can

The old hobbywing stockspec for £32 is ok but the classes have come on a lot from when it was first released but if you budget is a small one worth a look

For the sake of the £15 or £20 extra, I'd get 120A. You've then got some head room, and aren't pushing the ESC at close to 100% all the time.
150A is definitely overkill, unless you are planning to go to lower turn motors in the near future!

My son runs a B44.3 with a 10.5T and the HW xtreme stock ESC with a fair bit of timing. No heat issues and he competes regularly against other 4WD with 6.5 and 5.5 motors. It is not the ultimate speedo but he runs at regional events like Silverstone and was competitive.

For the money it is perfect as you can start with blinky and build up from there.
