Tekin redline sensorless motors - could do with some advice on gearing a 537 and a 278. I have seen some of you pred boys running redline sensored anyone tried redline sensorless in the pred?

you need to gear them up, they have a large diameter rotor on them, so they pull lots of torque but not lots of revs, but don't over gear them, as then you get issue's reading the rotor position at low revs.

Can you give me any idea of pinion size?? I have the 537 on a 20T but think it prob needs a 22/23. 278 in post - no idea where to start, thinking around a 14T. Have you ran Redline sensorless DCM ???

in the B4, I was up around the 27/28, can't help you with the exact pinion for an X10 though, you could try Kev Lee?

Take it thats for a 537 with a 81T spur? Thanks for your help. That gives a ratio of about 7.5 to 1. A 23T pinion for me!! Thanks again

I ran my b4 on a similar ratio to DCM with a 537. I would start at about 23 on the pred work from there like you say, just keep an eye on the temp indicator on the speedo to give you an idea of how its doing (just above half way on the lights is a good region area to be in). I've not tried a 278, but i would imagine its a bit of an animal in offroad!
