Trying to work out what's special about this as the parts to upgrade wouldn't cost a lot.. Or am I missing something?

Naoto took it to the last EOS, and wasn't that complementary of it on carpet.
Is that their refresh for the worlds, or will something else be run?

never mind the kit itself , the price floored me , 620 quid ...... oh lord o mercey

Can't say it is pointless really, puts a few of the running changes in the box and means that for most of the world they can now just build the kit and throw it down and be totally competitive.
Remember we are the odd balls racing on the surface we do ...
As for the price expect it to be the same, more or less, as the current RB6 I expect as that was originally suggested as £600 or so .... got to love the exchange rates / taxes.

Maybe pointless for Kyosho owners but for those coming to the RB6 for the first time the "new" kit already includes some of the stuff the Kyosho racers already using.
As for the Worlds stay tuned because there are some new bits coming...3gear transission is on the way

Totally agree think for kyosho owners most run upgrade parts. I was hoping they had something new in the pipe line so am
Little disappointed but think the rb6 is still a very good car

There will be a couple of options to make the car quicker on carpet / very high grip soon ;)

So why aren't they in the box now, given the imminent worlds?

I bet they have a prototype for the worlds
Mind you the rb6 is still a very good car
Could this be one of the changes to a new kit ?

The coming changes for the Worlds will be mainly for high grip tracks and for the MM configuration. There is slim chance to see the upgrades included in a kit...I quess we will have to buy them seperately

This is a good question,
If you are an RB6 owner, then yes it pointless to buy a new kit unless your old one is worn out.
If you are new to the RB6 you will get the latest wishbones and wings the team are running, plus the Springs in the box are suited to most track conditions running Mid Motor.

Not sure if you are on face book, if so and you don't already have a look at the video Tebo put up running the car I pictured above. It's on carpet and boy is he quick 😆😆

it's for stock motor racing in US, where weight (and rotational mass) counts. not relevant in the UK.

What?? So the 3 gear B5M conversion is not relevant in the uk either??? The 3 gear box gives other advantages which make it relevant for use in high grip situations.

Tebo's RB6 understeers a lot in that video...his setup is on his page and most of the things he did was to gain more off power steering
I am running a 3 gear transmission for about a year now thanks to a Swedish friend and I can tell you that the car is so much better. It turns flater, jumps and lands even better, has off course better acceleration and is more stable under braking
On carpet...and I am quessing in every high traction track...the 3 gears transform the car allowing not dramaticaly lower best times but but to be faster over the 5minutes

Argi is quite obviously a fool and knows nothing ;)
I've tried a 3 gear too as have a few others using different methods. Very interesting indeed, hopefully there will be something out there very soon which make this easy to do (watch this space) :)
As Argi says it really does change the car, I'd not want to run one on super slippery surfaces in mod personally but it's not as much of a handful as you might think.
Needs a slightly different setup to maintain good forward drive but that's definitely achievable.

I think it's all down to how the driver prefers the car myself and everyone is different and there is always allot of trail and error when using other people's setups.
Overall the rb6 is a very good car I think the slipper clutch mod schelle is ok and makes the car little better for me personally. I do think out of all the cars kyosho make the best car out of the box and are worth every penny.
There are some interesting mods about at the moment but do they work on UK tracks is the important thing
