Been really impressed with my Sanwa MT-4. Nice feel and good functionality. Right on your budget too.

Another vote for the MT-4. I use it with my YZ2 and it is lovely to drive. Receivers are a bit pricey and quite a tight fit to get servo plugs in, but perfect feel once in use

how does it compare to something like the Spektrum dx4s? at the moment I am using a Absima CR3P AFHDS and trying to figure out if upgrading is worthwhile.

SANWA all the way, I upgraded from the DX4S to the M12 (on offer at Hobbyking £280 instead of £425) and the difference is night and day, its like the first time you watch an HD TV, going back to DX4S on another car is like playing VRC pro with a ton of lag on the internet connection.

If budget allows stretch to the MT4S it has the same response time as the M12 which are both faster than the MT4 and DX4S but the S is smaller lighter TX compared the behemoth M12 which is very top heavy.

I went from CR3P to the MT4 and it just feels nice.

I did like the Absima, and must admit I have a CR4T in my "messaround" car which I also like, but the MT4 seems more compact, better trims etc.

I probably don't use anything like all the settings, but it is easy to use

Has anyone tried the sanwa MX-V? I'm pretty new to the hobby and bought an acoms 2.4ghz stick controller but after a few sessions i think I might be better with a wheeltype, I was looking at these MX-V's as I didn't think I'd need all the extra gimmicky things that the MT-4 had to offer (I'm also pretty tight!) I'm just after comfortable reliable steering or is the MT-4 worth the extra money?
