haha, politics aside - when a kid decided to pour petrol in a lorry thats almost ourside our house tonight at 1am, I decided to go ART STYLEE and use this as an oportunity to get some arty shots of the scene.

I luckily had my Canon 1d2 setup with the 50mm 1.8 lens and low kelvin white balance so it was perfect and READY for action!... with my fluorescent orange bib on (just airbrushed with my logo for photoing at 8th scale meetings) so I didnt get run over or told to "go away", I ran out and got my shots.

the last but one pic, with the fireman with his back to you, is just ace dude.... you should send that in for a photo comp!!!

Jim, I don't get anything like that in Cosmopolitan Cardiff :D

There was certainly some cool lighting going off - I should have taken one of the review cars out for some dramatic photos.

A bit tangential photo subject here, but, drunk-ish best man at the wedding I was at yesterday decided to stand on his chair half way though the reception and do this,

Heather Mills would be able to use that bad-boy as a leg.....

I think the second-last pic on Jimmy's post is the best.

bradford is the real shiz, but I have to say - its pretty bad round here. One of the biggest estates of ruffians was flattened and the worst of the worst moved down the road from here.
It just makes moving to australia a bit more urgent.

when i am away on jollies if anyone asks where i am from i always say leeds or if i do say bradford i am quick to add i am not from bradford merely stupid enough to buy a house there.

i could go on for hours about what a toilet it is but .....where i live is decent except there are three council scuff holes around us

Those photos are just ace!;)

I could even say beautiful.....but i'd sound a bit soft:eh?:

Where i live in chesterfield we had a similar situation when a truckie decided he was hungry, so, as you do, went to the chippie. leaving his lorry load of hay parked outside.
then some kid decided it'd be a good idea to carefully place a lit match in the hay.....as you do.

The truckie only knew about it when a kid walked into the chippy and said 'is that your lorry mister?..the one thats on fire!'
Kids eh, they've got a great sense of humour these days. We used to think it was funny to jump over hedges........

Unfortunately I didn't have a camera on me when they decided to set fire to the hay.:(

i think i have found a new marketing ploy to get people in bradford....they can encourage photo dudes like jimmy to come to take more arty blue night pics...there are so many cars on fire any night of the week you could take all the pics you need
