Ok I have a problem that has got me stumped:confused:

I have a C4.2 running the following setup;
SP Reventon S ESC
SP 13.5 v3,
SP sensor cable
nano tech saddles
Sanwa gemini trx and 451RX
The set-up is not new and has run before without issue.

I turn on the trx and rx, the car powers up I have steering but no throttle, nothing from the motor at all.

I have changed the saddles, Esc to another SP unit, the motor to another v3, tried a different sensor cable, tried different battery connectors, checked the servo leads are in the correct ports and pushed in and I still get the same problem?????????

So what is the problem, has to be something obvious right? :confused:

The symptoms suggest esc but as you have changed it..? Only thing you haven't changed is transmitter.....must be something there, if not a binding problem must be esc setup...?

I've just been having the same symptoms as you with my new Absima CR4T radio, working fine then no motor, same things tried.
I ended up re-binding the receiver to a different profile (ie, the radio has 20 profiles, so I changed mine from No.6 to No.7) & it then worked, for some reason profile 6 kept 'un-binding' causing no throttle but I still had steering...

My son had this in the middle of a race meeting, no throttle but good steering. We just recalibrated the esc forward, neutral and reverse settings with the Tx and all was good again. Sure you have tried but worth a go if you have not.

John, have any of ya kids adjusted the TX by accident...???

Check the throttle and brake EPA's on the Transmitter are to 100% then rebind the speedo.

Try swaping the plugs over on the receiver so the servo is in the throttle channel and visa versa, then try the throttle stick. If the servo moves then the throttle stick side of your radio is working ok.

If that checks out alright, problem could be bind issue or receiver.

Ok, thanks to all for your replys;

No not yet, but I need to try this, see below...

Ok, the setup is on profile 1, I switched to 3, binded the trx and RX, same problem...but see further down

Yes tried this but no dice!

Haha, good point Stew, but throttle & brake EPAs are 100%

Yes please Steve, I think I need to try this. See you Sunday...

So I tried this on profile 1 - forward = steering left, brake = no steering. Then I tried on profile 3, there was no difference previously, ie same problem (see above, following Dandares suggestion), but this time Forward = steering left, brake = steering right...

So this suggests an issue with the TRX or RX and not ESC.

So I need to try a different transmitter as I already tried a different receiver. So if the problem clears with a different TRX the problem is the TRX - sound plausible....?

Did you try the ESC in the steering channel to check your motor turns? You have proved the channel works on your servo but not ESC so would say TX is ok but settings different on profiles, ie P1 forward brake P3 forward revers

That's a good point... I am not getting anything from the motor with the ESC in the steering channel, BUT this is using an ESC that does work in another car???
