eBay, but try and make sure you get it from a supplier in the UK. You also tend to get either a wi-fi, Bluetooth or programme box with it to...

Hi westy,
Can I ask why your looking at the toro? Just out of interest...
I was looking for a new esc up until yesterday.
I looked at the toro too, a friend had one and was happy with it. theres 2 types 1) plastic case 2) metal case, personally i didnt want a plastic one so looked at the metal, these are £90 ish, then you need a card or bluetooth 15-20quid, then i looked at the wires, they all need soldering up, Im rubbish at that so that was daunting... Then my mate Ste had a chat with Kev at insideline about escs, I also looked at the LRP flow... again full sodering and wasnt keen on having no setup card...lights and beeps put me off... but i know lots have them and theyre really good not knocking it, personal preference. Ste considered the same ESC's and in the end and via recommendation opted for the Absima Revenge CTS 160a, he ran its sunday at the regionals and was really good, ran very cool, easy to setup with the card. Just ordered one myself, so for me ticks several boxes, 1) setup box included in the package 2) wires are presoldered to the esc with nice neat black wires c) 160a has some serious beef d) I know lots of people that run them so support is there if you need help tweaking it... not knocking the toro btw... just chucking my 2 pennies worth into the mix dont flame me :)

Was just through advice off here really, due to price spec e.t.c people seemed very happy with them, after comparing the 2 there does not seem much in them (infact suspiciously similar). I have found a uk seller with the metal version of the toro at 90 for both the unit and programme box, the Abisma I can only find at £115 with the program box. I would potentially go with Abisma at same price of course. Lrp or Orion would be my first choice but due to the amount of gear I need funds are tight.

90 is a good price for toro with box
Ive ordered my absima from insideline with the progrmme box for 105 or 109 cant remember which. bonus for me was i know a few people with them so helps there with setup, and only need to get the battery terminal and motor soldered
I dont think you can go wrong with the toro at that price tho. and i know what you mean about money being tight, im running my car and my lads... double price for everything lol
i like the Bluetooth for the toro, nice to be able to pull up and change the setting on your phone then shoot off again
