Hi all,

I'm making a return to racing after 20+ years... I now have a K1, vampire sr1+ esc, 7.5t speed passion motor and savos servo after many hours research!!

Next thing I need is a battery for the above - any suggestions or advice would be much appreciated... Ideally after a saddle pack that will be suitable for club racing at a reasonable price! I'm guessing it needs to be saddle pack for the k1.

I'm guessing my old SCE / SCR's won't hack it 😁...

Many thanks for any advice / help

For good value and good spec the hobbyking nano tech ultimate Batterys take some beating.
Come in saddles for your k1. http://www.hobbyking.co.uk/hobbyking/store/uh_viewItem.asp?idProduct=63085
Conversely I have some absima 90c saddles and they're really good But bit more expensive.

make sure you get a lipo charge too; any charger you had for your Nicads is unlikely to be suitable for charging lipos...

There are often some good used lipo bargains for sale on here.... Look for as new as possible and no swelling, preferably from a reputable Oopler..!

if you want to race in any brca regionals or nationals make sure they are on the brca approved battery list:

http://www.brca.org/content/homologation-lists-2015-updates/14218

most are but the older nanotec ones are not.

Yes and don't forget to bring them to the race meeting either ;-)

Great stuff from Turnigy - puts things costing 2 or 3 times more to shame. I don't shop anywhere else for electrics now
