Charging a transmitter battery

I have recently picked up a sanwa exzes z which has come with a lipo as well as a nimh battery. Both have the blue "servo" type connector. How do I charge these? Obviously I know I need to make sure the charger is set correctly for battery type, but is there anything else I need to know?

Chris.....you just need the correct charge lead. Either a converter, usually Deans plug to receiver plug or a lead with charger plugs to receiver plug. Then, as you say, just set your charger to correct battery and charge rate.. easy...

+1 same as any other lipo battery just different connectors

Most good Lipo for tx above 1s have a balance plug too, all ways worth balancing them

Managed to find a female servo connector so have tried that through balance board and works a treat:thumbsup:

Is it a three pin or two pin connector, and can you connect it backwards? Red to black and black to red.

thanks for that - just to clarify, it is a 3 pin plug with live going to the centre. Negative goes to outside, so if plug is inserted the wrong way round then the circuit isn't "made". i.e. can't be short circuited.

Think that was a very good point worth making

Someone posted on here a couple of weeks ago having done the same thing, connecting back to front.
