When leading the B final 4wd at silverstone WS my son rolled his car and broke his shock protecter and was no longer allowed to continue racing :cry:.

The shock protecter the car had on it was rigid so when the car rolled it cracked in half and left a sharp edge which was a potential safety hazard to both track and more importantly marshalls. It was also mounted from the front which leaves exposed nuts which to me defeat the object of the protecter :D

As a result I have being trying to find a solution ready for the next round :woot:

I have given my roller to a local plastics firm who are forming some shock protecters for both my bmax 4 iii and YZ-2, they should be with me sometime next week. Just PM me your email address and I can send you a picture once they turn up.

I have asked for them to make it durable but flexible item so it should flex on impact and hopefully not break. I have asked them to make the unit so it mounts from behind the shock tower and then folds over the top and down the front of the shock bodies so there are no exposed nuts on the front of the protecter(as the current ones) and it won't foul the shock in any way or restrict its movement.
