Hello everyone,

I could pull the trigger for an nearly un used CAT SX #K079, with full electrics, exapt of lipo and radio.
It comes with an SP GT Pro 2.0, incl. programming card, a lrp vector 10.5T and a spare lrp vector 7.5T and a steering servo, it allso comes in the original box and with manual.

I always liked the cat sx and this looks nearly new...:woot:

The seller whants ~ €250,--, do you think, this car is worth that money?

I find it a little expensive for oldish material. That's the kind of price I would pay for, say, a used K1 with recent electronics.

Ok, i didnt follow the prices for schumacher cars!
What would you willing to pay for some offer, like this?

What about the electric itself, is the sp gt pro 2.0 still a competitive speed controler?

The esc is still fine but I would not pay very much for the Cat SX as it is a very old design of the Cat series. I had one when they first came out and had many issue with it.

Thanks for that info, too!

What were the main issues, you had to fix?

Sounds a bit much really ... I've just paid £80 ish for a really tidy SX2 chassis without shocks but a bunch of spares to give you some idea.

.. and btw great car ..

agreed price is heavy at that

I have an xb4 or K1 I could sell for that kind of money (shipping to Austria I would have to check price on

early cats struggled for lipo space to as they were richt on the edge of the end of nimh era erly lipos which were smaller in hight than todays monsters spares too could be a problem

I'd have said 100 to 140 is a reasonable value

Thanks again, for your infos!

And thanks to fidspeed, for the offers on an xb4 or k1, but as i'm a early 1970 kid, those cars, like the sx remembers me back in the day, where my interests on rc starts, and these cars where far away to get:cry:(££££), so you can call me a bit of an vintage/retro fanboy!
I was on an deal on a bosscat, but the price was to high and i didnt find any spars at all....
I have contact to an shop in austria, that still does have tons of spars for the sx, actually, the owner did closing his shop and i could buy a big box of spares for the sx, for less than half the price, they had cost:thumbsup:
CS-Electoniks, the german distributor for schumacher still does have quit allot of parts, too.

I realy do like the k1 and i was near by to buy one for myselve, but as i do have a durango fleet and no shop here around me does realy stock schumacher parts, i was hold off.

Ps: i wrote the seller from the sx, i would be willing to pay ~€150.- for the package, but he didnt replay yet...

I agree with some of the above, the SX is in that old not vintage area, as is the AE B4 or Kyosho RB5 both of which can be picked up from 40 quid for a roller. SX are worth very little £80-90 tops really as its just an old car not vintage, keep it mint and give it another 15 years:cry:

I know, that is not realy a vintage yet, but i did think, it would be a bit more valiable.

Wow, 15 years, than i'm close to 60!:o:lol:

I dont want think about that......:D
