I'm looking for what is the perceived wisdom on this matter.

Fearful of causing wear on borrowed Astro, our club has banned the use of minipin tyres, as a precautionary measure.

Is this going to be effective? I wouldn't have thought that minipins caused much more damage, if any more at all, than pins or mini-spikes. And exactly when does a pin become a minipin, once the packaging has been thrown away?

I understand that other clubs have gone for Schumacher Venoms for the same reason.

Any ideas?

I think it's more down to the power of the cars on what is effectively a very hard surface... Whilst blocks may be better than pins I don't think these are the issue?

Personally, I'd limit motor turn but then we may alienate people :cry:
