Can you change a brushless motor to run in reverse as I have 2 speedos 1 you can change on the direction on the settings but the other you can't

To reverse the rotation of a brushless motor, swap round any 2 of the 3 wires between the speed controller and the motor. That should sort it :D

As long as it is a sensor-less set-up. If the speedo / motor work in sensor mode, then on the speedo software/set-up is the only option.

I didnt know that! I stand corrected.

Hi,
The sensors tell the speedo what phase / coil of the motor (A / B / C) to fire by knowing where the magnet is in relation to the coils. So if you swap the cables the speedo will try to power the wrong coil.
It why sensor systems are smoother then sensor-less systems. Sensor systems know where the magnet is in relation to the coils.

Thanks for the info
Both speedos are sensor

What chassis is it in? If it's shaft driven 4wd you can normally flip the diffs over to get around this problem, if it's belt drive you have to modify the sensor lead as well as swap phases but I'd be surprised if your motor is going the wrong way for a belt driven car.

It's a 3 gear 2wd just trying something out I will just swap the speeds around
