Speed Passion question

I'm considering reverting to running speed passion motors (v4) as after trying one i really liked the smooth power delivery.

I just wanted to ask about the bullet connectors that are used on SP motors. I'm always wary of using removable connectors for off road racing due to the potential for them to work loose. Am i worrying needlessly? Is the chance of a bullet connector from a SP motor coming out unlikely? I can always solder direct of course but it is actually really useful being able to switch motors without having to pull out the soldering iron.

I havent run them yet as use the v3 motors but now that they have changed them to bullet connectors i would say they are more secure now. If ur wires dont come out ur lipo then no reason they shoulg come out the motor

Good point. I don't know why more manufacturers don't do similar - makes changing motors and general maintenance at the track so much easier.

I've used speed passion on my cars for the 2 years since I came back. Admittedly not raced that much over past 12m due to circumstance, but have never had a problem with connectors working loose. I did have one that felt a bit loose so just nipped it with some pliers and it has been fine.
I'd say use with confidence

I am looking to get back into 1/10th Off Road again (2wd) and have looked into Speed Passion and Turnigy 120A Gen II series speed controllers.

They appear very similar. Is there much difference apart from the cost ?

The same with the motors (Speed Passion V3 and Trackstar motors ?

I used the gen2 and it lasted me five cycles in 4wd mod buggy.

I'm curious to hear if the reventon pro are worth getting for 4wd mod buggy
