I'm just out testing my cougar sv2. I have an absima cr3p rx/tx.
Everything is great up to aprox 30 meters. I thought the range would be greater than this. My intention is to get out racing asap. What are your thoughts on this?

Cheers

I've no experience with the Abisma radio gear but that doesn't sound right to me...I use Sanwa and car is still in range at the other end of a football pitch when you literally can't hear it or see what it's doing!

Anyone with Abidma experience able to add more?

I had rc cars years ago & the range was much greater than this.
I tested it on a massive empty car park in various different parts of the car park. Same issues each time with the range. This particular radio was recommended by a few guys on here so hopefully someone can offer a bit of advice.

My son used this radio, and hasn't had any range problems.
Sounds obvious but are the batteries in handset fully charged.
Im Sure I read somewhere of other people having range problems,
and if I remember correctly they contacted absima and we're sent new radios.

I had an Absima cr3p and the range was better than my eyesight. I then bought a cr4t which had a range of only approx 10m, so I contacted Absima (uk customer service number on the Absima website if you click the uk bit) and they replaced it without quibble. Absolutely spot on customer service.
The replacement was great, but I must admit I then switched to Sanwa as there are more folks using them at my club so I can get set up advice more easily.
30m doesn't sound right so I'd contact the shop you bought from or Absima directly

I contacted absima via email. They did send me a replacement but that's even worse!
I couldn't find there Uk phone number. If you have it could you pass it on to me.
I'm hoping to try the radios in another car just incase there is some other issue with mine

Usually you will lose sight of car before out of range

I spoke to Shaun who's details were on website for uk sales

Hopefully the screen shot has pasted (I can't see it until I submit this post)
If I recall, Shaun's phone number was originally wrong on this site, but I phoned Kev Lee at Inside Line RC and he gave me correct one. Think one digit is transposed

Does this receiver have a coax aerial . If it does and the white 25 to 30mm has broken of, this can give range problems. The fix is just expose 25 to 30mm of the white inner. Hope this helps.

I'll check that out later. Thanks
