Electrical Accessories.

Hi I am about to do a wallet busting move back into 1/10 the off Road.

What electrical connections do I need. I used to use Corally 4mm back in the day, but don't know how many and of what type to set myself up.

Do lipo cells come with leads, also thinking of running speed passion rev pro but does run different type of connectors between the v3 and v4 motors.

Is it worth making up short leads for each of motor change?

Welcome back, I re started 2 years ago after a 15+ year break and love it : )

Corally 4mm will still work on lots of lipos, though some are now starting to switch to 5mm tubes.

If you use saddle packs you'll need 4 connectors on the car; positive, negative and the saddle connection.

For 'shorties' which are the preference for most these days only 2 connectors, positive and negative.

Not sure when you last raced but we rarely change motors these days, lipos have ridiculous run time compared to old cells, you're more likely to overheat than dump!

Speed passion are just about the only motors that come with the tube connectors...most others are hard wired. Can't help on V3/4, sorry.

You can get lipos with leads, but most of these come with a deans connector. If no leads then they come with tubes (4 or 5mm) in the lipo casing, so you just need leads in the car and on the charger.

You'll love it. Last time I raced my budget was paper round money...it all seems a bit cheaper on grown up wages!

You'll remember it was all about cells too, 6 good packs needed a day and you couldn't buy what the pros used...no such problem now, all far too fast for my talent!

You only need 2 packs as well, most decent shorties can be bought for
£40-50 per pack, and as they have no memory you can reuse them throughout the day.
