Hi,
I'm in offroad racing, so i don't have experience in touring cars.
Recently i bought a yokomo bd7 2015, to start racing in stock class.
For esc, i will choose speedpassion reventon stock 40a or hobbywing justock 60a.
Now for a budget motor. What should i choose? Hobbywing/Speedpassion/Trackstar/Skyrc. I don't have any ideea.
Or can you recommand a combo for less than 100$ around 70 pounds?
Almost all of my guys are running LRP FLOW esc with LRP x20 13.5 motor, but i don't have 300$ to invest in a class that i dont know if i like or not.
Thank you

If your racing stock and want cheap then the speed passion V3 is stills available. The Gforce and Skyrc are the same motor and are very good value. Cheaper still The track star is good aswell

V3 is to slow 20deg timing mean gearing the hell out of it try the v4 is as punchy as the 24k ( 24k is the best motor in my eyes and which I use )but just lack the top end of the 24k so really good indoors or smaller tracks maybe a team wave they are good all rounders
You can try the g-force new red can motor 60deg timing ( updated skyrc)and mean to be quick but don't take it over 80 deg c as more likely to blow
All for £60 cheaper and it won't be quick enough to race
Team wave ( have used ok motor for price )
Speedpassion v4 ( used but needed 24k speed)
Red can g-force ( heard good things )
Old hobby wing has fixed timing so harder to tune
Skyrc wasn't on the pace of even the team wave
And already said about v3 speedpassion
I know £60 might be more then u want to spend but u won't want to change ur motor as quick as there won't be a big power difference

Hi.
As you are looking at speedos I am going to make you aware of the hobby wing xr10. It is built.for blinky mode of lying at at only £45. It is a wicked speedo and keeps up with 120a hobbywings no problem.
I also run a bd7 15 with the above speedo and a trinity d4 13.5.
Any question more then welcome to message me
Cheers

Will say we have a good driver at our track with the old just stock and he doesn't suffer that much, hard to shake him off if I am in front lol and new one is more amp so even if it's not quicker it will run cooler meaning last for longer
So second the hobby wing over the speedpassion esc
Also where will u be racing

The Xray forum is good for TC info even if you've got a yoke. As earlier posts where will you be racing as a lot of clubs have their own forums/FB pages.
