I would recommend a Trinity D3.5 or D4. I have a D3.5 5.5T for 3 years now and still going strong. I'm also very happy with my Yokomo RP 6.5T :).

I have a Speed Passion V3 6.5 that I'd be willing to sell cheaply. PM me if you're interested.

The Vampire AB+ V2 motors are superb. Power band is fantastic for a 6.5, revs high even without timing but still feels like it has enough torque low down for slower or tighter tracks. Very smooth.

I run a 7.5T Hobbywing V10 G2 in my 2wd cars and it's absolutely brilliant. I've run all sorts of motors and this is by far the best for me.

Absima Revenge as they are very powerful and slightly cheaper than the top brands but have better performance figures. I've ran them for 2 years without any issues or power drop.
