Hi All.

In my Schumacher Cat K2, I have the KO Response RSx2 30108 servo installed. The ESC is a Tekin RSX, and the receiver is a Futaba R304SB-E.

If you pick the car up, and then flick the the steering transmitter stick occasionally but not every time you will get at neutral vibration of the steering generated from the servo. Until you load the servo it will continue this oscillation. Sometimes when you power the car up it will also do this.

A friend suggested that the gears in the servo were stripped, however I have examined them and they are all OK.

I have also tried plugging a 1000µF capacitor into a spare port on the receiver, but this didn't resolve it either. Its a minor irritation but would be nice to know what is causing it, or even resolve it.

It does this when the BEC from the Tekin ESC is set to either 7.4v or 6v.

Any ideas welcomed,

Thanks!

I spoke to ko about this. It's normal. There's nothing wrong with your servo  must agree alittle strange

They are now putting a sticker on the side of the box stating that this is normal.

Mine does it all the time it's just annoying but the servo is perfectly fine

It's because the servo can never find it's absolute 0. It sits just above 0 so corrects it self, but then overshoots in the other direction. Then it tries to go back, and over corrects again.

When on load, the load stops it over correcting.

Sanwa used to have this (and label their servos up to tell you!) but they appear to have found a way of stopping it happening with recent new models.

Ah thanks all.

It's strange but the KF2 I have has the same servo but I haven't noticed it do that. Perhaps it's just a production variance. If it's normal then nothing to worry about.

Cheers all!
