Evening Guys, I'm looking into changing the tyre glue I use for 2wd off-road. I've been using the Bob smith insta-cure super thin glue up until now but find it hard work and end up getting it everywhere and all over the tyres sometimes rendering them as scrap. I'm after a glue with a thicker viscosity so it's a bit more controllable when I apply it. Does anybody have any suggestions or reccomendations?

Cheers

Have a look on our Facebook page under Yeldnips racing products. We have a thicker tyre glue available which is a lot easier to use than the thin glue. No fingers get stuck on tyres with this glue.

I get medium viscosity stuff from the double glazing wholesaler just round the corner! Dirt cheap and great for RC tyres IMO....exactly as you want, a bit thinker than the watery stuff. Google double glazing trim supplies or similar, guarantee there's somewhere nearby.

The Bob Smith glue is good quality and I doubt you'd get as good a bond with thicker glue.

I suspect you're struggling because the nozzle is so large on the bottle, it literally pours out. I wouldn't even consider applying it without a precision nozzle. Sweep racing nozzles are my favourite, core rc are pretty good too.

Thats why bob smith is so good - it gets in to all the right areas for a solid hold. the thicker stuff is ok, but takes longer to bond, and wont get right across the bead.
