Bingham Model Raceway (BMR) is a not for profit R/C model car club set up to serve the R/C community in the Mid East region. The track being built will primarily be for 1/10th scale electric off road vehicles such as 2wd and 4wd buggies, short course trucks and rally cars.

The plan is to run weekly club meetings, weekend summer and winter championships, as well as BRCA sanctioned regional and national events. Two Mid East regional events are already penciled in the diary for 28th May (2wd) and 20th August (4wd) so the pressure is on to get the track ready.

Now that we have regional dates in the diary, shizzle just got real. As well as planning some "Dig days" over the festive period we need to raise some funds to get some key items. We have therefore set up a Justgiving page so please like, share and if you can, donate.

Our last post on FB received over 1800 views. If everyone donated just £1 we'd be nearly there. I know it's Christmas so we aren't looking for grand gestures just a pound will do.

Track build has started, a few of us were down on site on the 28th and 29th with a mini digger, a few shovels and lots of back breaking work, also many laughs.

Hi mate. It's near Saxon dale roundabout, the farmer has been most helpful already with land, earth and machinery. Tbh the larger machinery would cause more issues now, as they sink in.

We're concentrating on each area as we work our way round.

Provided it doesn't rain much this weekend, we should be able to pin some rolls of astro down and properly test the big double jump and rumble strip.

Progress has been slow but we're still working away, lol.

Currently:
Brick wall drop off being built at corner top.
Finish off some of the features.
Flatten and smooth out area for the straight.
Container arriving in the next week or 2
Rc4 decoder arriving in the next week or 2

Farmer digging drainage ditch all around field,as it turns out we have a peckham spring lol.

Couple of set backs:
Track has had motox bikes over it and kids rearranging corner top with slabs, then starting a fire.. thankfully not on the astro...
