Hey all, just been directed to this page through recommendation of an existing member. A lot of forums to read through I must say!

Anyway, I'm new to this hobby you might as well say. Last RC car I had was a laser zxr around 20 years ago now haha. Just bought a Schumacher k1 roller and looking to start having a play again, will probably need lots of pointers if you all don't mind

Look forward to spending more time here

Welcome!

I returned from same situation as you (cat 2000 last car) about 3 years ago; love it! Electrics etc so much faster and less work.

Sometimes takes a while to get a reply on here but plenty of expertise.

Most used forums for 1/10th off road are:

1/10th off road (obv!)
Electrics
And keep an eye on sections specific to your car as well as for sale etc...some good bargains to get you started.

Putting questions in right section is key to a decent answer IMHO.

Best of luck, Enjoy!

Thanks for the reply.

Yeah I find electrics much better but always have. I've dabbled with nitro and petrol but find myself constantly playing with the car to set it up or even start it!

1/10 off road is where I'm at 😉

Anyone fill me in on what's needed for the for sale forums? Trying to reply to some but won't let me? Is it a min post count that's required?

its simple, each post on a for sale thread bumps it to the top of the page

Think the replies was being used to bump threads up as well as occasionally people were hi-jacking adding comments such as "seems a bit pricey - I'm selling one which is much better price" etc.
By using PMs it gives everyone a fair crack of the whip

Yeah but it also causes people to go via pm to people who've not even posted a thread and high jack a sale saw it happen with a predator recently, if it all on an open forum it all visible and no one can high jack. Other forums just have a rule about no bumps before 24 hours etc. Anyway it doesn't matter it is what it is
