Gents,
I have come across a Kyosho RB5 chassis, with diff casing, battery strap and rear shock tower.
The front has not been welded(understand this is a weak point on the chassis) and is in general good order.
couple of questions
1. is it vintage?
2. are people interested in this?
3 and finally is it worth anything?
Will post some pics later on,
Cheers for any help you can give

Hi Lee,
Depends on which Gen you have.
Gen1 short chassis, motor plate without gear cover just fins.
Gen2 Extended chassis, later came the motor plate with the gear cover mounting machined, different rear tower, later chassis were welded, but not on early First release chassis..
Gen3 (RB6) Machined chassis with brass weight kit (extra), Gearbox allowed the diff to be removed without stripping the slipper clutch, again early chassis was not welded, as per Gen2 for the rest.
I had,
Gen1 Kyosho RB5 SP2
Gen2 Kyosho RB5 SP2 WC
Gen2 Tamiya
Gen3 Tamiya
Beautiful buggies and top quality. If they were still made today I would still run one. Loved them !!
Value, Depends on condition and what hop-ups are fitted, rear hubs, alloy hangers etc......
As for Vintage. Not at the min matey.
Also what RB5 is the donor buggy as there were 3 RB5s. RB5, RB5 SP2, RB5 SP2 WC.
I maybe interested....
Hope that helps Lee....

When I said I had a chassis I wasn't joking.
This is all i have. If anyone can actually tell me which gen it is or if it is a rb6 version that would be great.
If interested and want to buy make me an offer.
Cheers lee

Just looked on extreme site. And new they was £210 and that is it was included in that cost.
So thinking maybe £60 inclusive of post age is fair
Or if someone else wants to make me an offer please contact me.
Cheers lee
