I have a speedpassion retention pro ESC and I've accidentally connected it negative to positive, and so broke it! Has anyone have any experience or advice about this? Or should I just bin it?
Thanks
Stuart

you might get away with just damaging the reverse function, forward and brakes still ok

If it stutters or wont turn the motor with out helping it then the fet board will be blown and its for the bin:(

I've literally just done this to my LRP Flow in a moment of absentmindedness. I suppose it's not a bad return being my first reverse polarity in over 25 years! :o

I plugged mine in the right way to find the fans still worked, but on trying the throttle it stopped the fans etc. Stripped it to find the fet board wiped out in a couple of places, so thats ready for the bin.

You cant fix fet boards in modern speedo's.....you can get the fets no problem, you just cant remove the old ones, there is that much copper around them it takes the heat away from the fet you are trying to remove, you end up needing that much heat it would destroy the fet p.c.b and lift the copper tracks...
