I'm just about to do a load of new front wheels for my nice new B6
I'm using the associated wheels
Am I right in thinking the staggers don't need inserts also I've read some cut the bead off
Any pics of one cut?

Thanks in advance for any info

Yeah no inserts needed . You can fit them to cut down associated wheels relatively easy without cutting the beads off , I once cut the beads off and to be honest found it harder to do than leaving them on .

I've found one stagger on it's own in a box of front tyres..
so I've tried to cut the bead off to see how it fits...tbh I'm not that into it, so I'll try with the bead for a bit and see how it goes
Why do you find them better with no inserts?
It's all new to me with the staggers it's pretty much my first experience with them

Thanks Dan

Are you cutting the bead off the tyre?

I think you're confused with that and cutting a standard width wheel down...it's the wheel, not the tyre that you cut.

Or alternatively just buy narrow rims specific for the tyre, which is what most do.

Inserts simply not required for low pro staggers, tyre is very narrow amd doesn't need the support.

For glue I personally do three dots of glue per side, sometimes 4. Easily enough for me running a B6 on EOS carpet, and easier to remove/clean rim when worn out.

Yeah I figured it was the wheel... but yeah I did read it wrong I thought it was the tyre at first lol I've just ordered some of the new thin wheels from associated so I'll see how they are 👍🏻👍🏻

I have always cut the bead off the tyre and then glue the wall of the tyre to the wheel
