Haha, 100%! At the back, it looks like it has stiffeners like the KC mounted to the upper rear alloy gear (belt) box.

Correct me if I am wrong but are those front arms off a tlr 22 4.0 2wd car ?

I thought the same, but by comparing pictures of them, they look a little bit different?
Rear a arms are different to the current k2 armes, they have two outer holes for the hubs.

How is the motormount held in place? Definetly not by 4 screws we see with a shaft setup or like the K2

I was thinking about a kind of layout, like the mi-6 touring car would match the center line screw holes at the chassis!?
Also the kind of top deck mounting we saw in some pictures and at one picture i could see a part of an floating servo mount?

Looking forward to get some more informations, or pictures...

Micholix, have you seen the front top decks fitted to a KC? I've not, but looking at the parts catalogue they look like they are mount 'vertically' rather than the KF2 version, like an Mi6.
Use that on a 4wd and you can keep belts tensioned properly and adjust the torsional stiffness of the chassis. Hmm...

micholix
13-12-2017, 07:25 AM
Bish, i have not seen a KC with the front top deck mounted eather, i only found one set up sheet at petitrc, witch stated the mount of it, but no pictures!

A layout like that would be great at an 4wd buggy, i guess.

We‘ll see...

I think it will be both!

Something similar to the 2wd perhaps, a belt drive option for carpet and shaft for dirt..

Excited whatever it is....as it seems to go alright in capable hands!!

Looking at the prototype chassis at the DHI Cup 2018 it looked like it was perhaps a little wider than the K2 more like the K1 / Aero.

Listening to the cars at MK GP of Yardy & Orlowski I would suggest it’s shaft drive.
Always covered so no chance of a peep!!

KC back end so vertical decks front and rear. New steering geometry with looks more like the old K1 style. Laydown steering servo mounted directly on the chassis instead of being held in the front bulk heads. Looks good

Hi All,

So....., does the new car look like an up-dated K2 or is it all new?

Do you think there would be the potential to buy a cheaper K2 and up-grade it?

Wolvie
04-02-2018, 09:19 AM
It's a new car, of course shocks stay almost the same, so exept screws, bearings, I dont think it's a bargain buying a k2, when you expect a K3 or whatever the new car will be named.

Hi, I see the Neumann car this week end, the car is all new, and is amazing on the track.

Perhaps the 'L' represents the number of significant iterations of the CAT 4wd platform. For example

A-CAT
B-CAT XL/S
C-ProCAT
D-BossCAT

E-CAT 2000
F-CAT 2000 EC/SE/98
G-CAT 3000

H-CAT SX/2
I-CAT SX3

J-CAT K1/Aero
K-CAT K2

L-CAT L1

The car was on schumachers website briefly an said they are calling it a lightweight car so guessing that's where the L1 comes from. Also said the car was £479.99
