Apparently I'm supposed to apply an unspecified quantity of superglue to the ring that fits over the diff case. Is this a small dab in a single place or all around the ring? Instructions unclear. Thanks.

Looking at the diagram on Schumacher's website, i would say you fit the ring and run a small bead of glue around the outside of it to hold it in place.
