Nothing definite yet, just trying to get a feel for potential interest!

We've been thinking of running a one-off Open meeting for both 2 and 4WD electric classes (and possibly 1:10 electric trucks if there's enough for at least one heat!) on SUNDAY 22 MARCH 2009.

Would like drivers to show an interest before we commit ourselves to organising this event.
Start posting..........NOW!

Any ideas how we could make it a little different would also be welcomed, e.g. 7 minute Finals?

Im up for it....... obviously:thumbsup::thumbsup:
If there's enough people there, and this idea isnt just stupid, what about somthing like a team race sort of thing, like 3 a team or however it would be devided up.:confused:

This is a great chance to get more track time at EPR. Most winte series will be finished and most regional series will have not started yet.
Also very good for EPR as we are still raising money for a timing system!!!!!

I am interested as long as it doesn't clash with anything i have already planned to do!!

What about.... Club championship along side it ?????

It could be the UK Club Championships... people race for there club or adopt a club on the day..

I will think of some other ideas......mmmmmmmm

ideas - Slash race!!!!!! Or an endurance/tag team race?

simoncook

I can make this date too. Sounds great :)

So sort of team event though sounds interesting. Teams of three or something, with combined points are the winners? Not really thought it out past that, but could be good for an experiment.

7 min finals could be interesting too. I quite like that.

The 22nd sounds like a great idea - I would definitely be up for it, both 4wd and Truck (the truck has never been raced, so would be great to give it a go).

I also like the idea of longer finals.

Hope this goes ahead.

In the meantime, I hope to be there on 1 March 2009, after a long break due to car illness.

Guy.

Thats sounds like it could be a pain in the arse if we have to move the trackers lots. - Could be interesting though.

Steve, Matt, David - thanks for the weekend - let us know when and if your going to run this event - I am sure I can get you at least another 6 odd racers there!! - Also do run the 7 minutes finals but don't change the track in qualifying - many people would find that very difficult - hint hint!!
Also if you don't mind my suggestions - FTD - At least if I break the thing I still have a chance - he he he
Laters - Tony Evdoka (the blast from the past)

Sorry folks been away from oOple on business the last couple of days!

However, having spoken to our landlords on Tuesday, can confirm that the EPR SE GP has now been scheduled for Sunday 22 March 2009!

Further details will become available leading up to the event but as Matt has confirmed previously we will be accommodating the following classes:

2WD
4WD Stock*
4WD Modified
Truck*

* On the proviso that we get enough entrants to build at least one heat.

Can I also take this opportunity to point out to Newbie & Junior trophy winners from the recently completed Winter Warmer series 08/09, these trophies will be presented at the EPR SE GP so please make every effort to come along.

And yes we do appreciate that it's Mother Day that day  but all attendees will be most welcome!

Watch this space for further announcements!

Hiya Steve, Matt, Dave.

Does this date clash with anything such as the Indoor nat? Batley super cup of the Worksop players meeting?

If not then i think i'll make the trip back down to give it another go, although it will be weather depending closer the time to make it 100%

Cheers

brookie
04-03-2009, 10:10 PM
Think we've planned for all of these other events!

2009 Batley Supercup - 15 March

2009 EPR SE GP - 22 March

Worksop RCC, the players 09 - 27-29 March
BRCA Indoor Finals, York - 4/5 April

So there's nothing else for anybody to do on 22 March except come racing at the EPR SE GP, venue for Round 3 of the BRCA 1:10 National series in June!

Steve - Maybe Mothers, Wifes, Girlfriends etc etc? "A LADIES RACE"
I do believe if just Mothers, then we may see some rage in the race, rostrum, track or pits and we don't want that, do we?!!

For the Ladies - please no handbags, umbrellas or walking sticks....

Come on Steve, organise something so we all know and Matt, make sure it's in the press......

Winter Warmer 2008/2009 Trophies have started to arrive and are scheduled to be presented to the winners at this event, the inaugural EPR SE GP, on Sunday 22 March 2009.

Hope to see all those winners, in both Junior 2WD & Newbie 2 and 4WD classes, there (Final Championship tables available at: http://www.edenparkraceway.com/ for the presentation (and no doubt photo's!).

All other drivers are welcome and interest is already high, watch both this forum and our own website for further details.

NB You'd better not mess with the Raceway bend boards now, Steve Andrews has replaced the temporary boards that served us well throughtout the last year or so with his usual, robust examples!
