DMS MCC "Grass Roots" Race Meeting - Saturday 7th July

Our club are vey proud to announce the "Grass Roots" One-Off race meeting to take place at the "10th Annual Courtlands Fun Day" on a grass track.

Classes for;


1/10th 2wd Buggies
1/10th 4wd Buggies
1/10th Stadium Trucks
1/10th Short Course Trucks
1/10th Vintage buggies
1/8th E-Buggies

Restricted numbers in each class with booking in now open on our club website - www.dmsresults.co.uk (http://www.dmsresults.co.uk)

Cost is FREE to DMS MCC members or £5 to non-members and this covers as many classes as you wish to enter

It promises to be a great fun day, with a chance for us all to showcase the sport of r/c car racing to the general public, with historically over 4,000 visitors to the event each year

So less than 24 hours to go now until our Grass Roots meeting gets under way!!!




Booking in is open until Midnight tonight for those who have yet to book in but intend on coming (pay on the day) - just £5 for as many classes as you wish for non-members and FREE to all DMS MCC members....




Track prep is coming along well, we are up there again tonight for another grass cutting session, then back in the morning at crack of dawn to finish off and lay the track. Anyone who is about and able to come and assist with the track build is welcome to arrive from 7am (we wont be setting up any of our pits that early, only the track build, perimeter fence, rostrum, banners etc.)




Race Competitors to arrive from 10am, if you dont already have a car pass to get you into the park then one of us will be on the gate from 10am to hand them out, all cars must be unloaded and removed from the area by 11am.




Open Free Practice will start from approx 10:30am and run until 11:40am

11:45am - Drivers briefing

12:00pm - Heat 1 Round 1 (of 4) on the Line

4:00pm - Finals Start

5:00pm - Finish and Pack Down




We have a small amount of Gazebo space spare for pitting and also a couple of generators on site too, but if you have your own EZ-UP or similar and/or 12v battery/generator, please bring these with you also




Oh and a 32" TV and aerial to watch the football too.....
