07-06-2018, 10:44 AM
I have been in talks with R.W about the TOP FORCE Idler main gears they used to make for the TOP FORCE.
This removes the Tamiya SOFT Alloy Idler/Main gear and is replaced with the Quality R.W Idler/Main gear.
R.W have stated they will re-make it, but requires a decent number to make a batch of them.
I am waiting a price on the Idler/Main gear, so once I have it I will post the cost.
If anyone would like one or two or three, PLEASE put your interest/request here so I can go to R.W with a number.
I'm not on FACEBOOK, but, if anyone could help me with this please could you post, but, requests need to be on this thread.
DUE TO THE AMOUNT OF INTEREST......... **** READY MID JULY ****
Thank you all..................

You can if you so wish, but your buying a Tamiya tree with a lot you may not use and can become expensive.
Its totally your choice, but with the R.W the quality is fantastic, your buying what you need and there may not be 1 Idler main gear in the packet...;)

I've had chance to fit the R.W Gear set to replace the Tamiya soft Alloy gear and rear gear.
I've shown what you will receive in the packets. You get both gears...
I have to say the quality is as to be expected by R.W. Anyone who's had R.W before will know the quality.....
You can see the standard Tamiya gears on the left and the R.W on the right. Before and after pictures showing the gears......

I ran RW in my Manta Ray when I was a nipper but also run a set now in my Top Force, which I built a couple of years ago.
Neil is a helpful bloke:thumbsup:
hi all
A little update here. I have now made a rear chassis/gearbox brace, so the top deck can be attached.

Also fresh in is the Ball diff. I knew a ball diff in the rear at the very least would be essential as the plastic that makes up the diff casings may come under very quick scrutiny once brushless is let loose.

Talking of plastics and gears. Many thanks to Neil at RW Racing for supplying these little beauties, brand new and in stock. Again, if I remember correctly, an essential upgrade. I repeat, RW still stock these gears, and will no doubt make more if required. Spread the word.

That's all for now folks. Keep 'em peeled.
And remember, every time you say goodbye, I die a little.
