As rare as rocking horse shit?

Someone paid over £600 for a 25 year old pair of BNIP tyres last year. They were only ~£40 quid a pair brand new. But they stopped making them 20 odd years ago and went bankrupt in the late 90s.

Probably the last set of BNIP tyres in the world.

But it can only be as some sort of investment.....no one is going to pay that money for tyres and then use them..! Seems crazy.

I'd guess they were for a garage queen. Or even a museum piece!
I'd not ride them.

20+ year old tyres will be completely dried out and brittle. Ten miles and they'd be dead.

And the irony is that i've got 5 or 6 of them in a bag in the attic. All used, probably still with the mud on. Total value, next to nothing.

Think I better see what’s in my loftI probably need to do the same. There are 2 or 3 bin liners full of tyres up there and 5 or 6 moving boxes full of parts, then the wheels, half a dozen frames, plus all the full bikes........ and that just the stuff in the attic. I've got another room with all the "current" stuff racked up..........
